But I did find the time to spend 7 days in Istanbul, Turkey. What an amazing city. I've always wanted to go there, ever sinceI discovered W.B. Yeats, ever since I learned that Byzantium is modern day Istanbul. The magesty of the great mosques, the Haghia Sofia, the beauty and vivacity of the people, was enchanting. It took me away from myself, my day-to-day worries. It was healing for my weary spirit.
I shot 6 rolls of film, all with my trusty Nikkormat. Sadly, all 6 rolls went through 3 security checks at the Istanbul airport and were damaged...and I think the camera has a little light leak. So the quality is not too great. "That's not the Sultan's ghost...it's just a little leak."
And of course the best moments aren't on film!

Hope there will be more to come.

This is inspiring, though. I'll be toting my camera with me much more often, now that I have a place to exhibit my work! Very exciting.

why am i loved only when i'm gone?
Which should be this afternoon, a bit later on. Christmas panettone and parmiggiano shopping will have to wait.
If only there were more hours of the day to procarstinate...I'd be such a productive girl.

Dear Friend, my dream is to be famous. Not to show my nonexistant superiority-just ensure that my helpful texts like my novel "Inquilibrium" reach the widest audience. I'm poor & might not live long enough to see it. Help remember me & I'll help you all.
